Art is a tool for understanding the world around us. It's a way of communicating what words cannot and learning more about the subjects we choose to depict. 

The artist is forced to closely observe and deeply understand their subject when creating a piece or work. Not only to create an accurate reflection of reality, but to also gain knowledge on how to manipulate the reality in a meaningful and purposeful way
